About these terms
These terms and conditions apply to the watch repair and restoration services provided by Pendula, located at 184 Beach Road, Pattaya, Bang Lamung, Chonburi 20150, Thailand. By leaving a watch with us for service or submitting an enquiry through our website at pendula.cyou, you agree to the terms set out below. If you have questions before proceeding, please contact us at [email protected] or on +66 90 643 2718.
Service scope and assessment
Our three services — Service & Diagnostics, Case & Crystal Renewal, and Keepsake Restoration — are described in detail on our website. Each service begins with a bench assessment. We will explain our findings and agree the scope of work with you before any service proceeds.
If the assessment reveals additional work beyond the standard scope of the service you selected, we will contact you to discuss the options and any associated cost before continuing. We will not undertake additional work without your agreement.
Pricing and payment
Prices listed on our website are starting figures in Thai Baht (฿). The exact price for your job will be confirmed following assessment. Payment is due on collection of the watch unless otherwise agreed in advance.
We accept cash and bank transfer. Details will be provided at the time of collection. Prices are inclusive of labour and any standard consumables (lubricants, cleaning solutions). Parts sourced externally — such as crystals, crowns, gaskets or movement components — are charged at cost in addition to the service price, and will be quoted to you before they are ordered.
Timelines
Estimated turnaround times are provided at the start of each job and are given in good faith. They may be affected by parts availability, the condition of the watch discovered during service, or workshop workload. We will contact you if a significant delay arises.
We ask that watches are collected within four weeks of notification that the work is complete. Watches held beyond this period may be subject to a storage fee of ฿200 per week, which we will communicate to you in advance.
Your responsibilities
When leaving a watch with us, you confirm that:
- You are the owner of the watch, or have the owner's permission to authorise service work on their behalf.
- You have provided accurate information about the watch's history and any known issues, to the best of your knowledge.
- You understand that watchmaking involves working with mechanisms that may be worn, fragile or in unknown condition, and that assessment findings will be shared with you before work begins.
Handling and care
We take reasonable care of every watch in our possession. Watches are held securely when not on the bench and are handled by the person assigned to that job. We maintain a handover record for each piece.
For vintage or particularly valuable pieces, we recommend discussing handling arrangements when dropping off the watch. We are happy to answer questions about our storage and bench procedures.
Limitation of liability
We approach every job with care and use appropriate tools and materials. However, watchmaking involves working with mechanisms that may contain pre-existing faults not visible before disassembly. We are not liable for damage or failure attributable to:
- Pre-existing wear, corrosion, damage or deterioration discovered during service.
- Failure of parts that were not replaced as part of the agreed service scope.
- Normal wear following the completion of service.
Where unexpected issues are discovered, we will discuss them with you and agree how to proceed. Our liability for any loss arising from our services is limited to the cost of the service carried out.
Uncollected watches
If a watch is left with us for more than three months without contact from the owner, we reserve the right to contact you by any means on record to arrange collection. Watches uncollected after six months, following reasonable attempts to contact you, may be disposed of in accordance with applicable law.
Website use
The content on our website is provided for information only. While we take care to keep it accurate, we do not warrant that all information is complete or up to date at all times. Contact us directly to confirm current pricing, availability or service scope.
Use of our website is subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
